Rare yew wood escritoire, mid 18th century, with hare wood cross banding and chequer stringing. The full front with ribbon bouquets, the interior with drawers and cabinets. Over three long graduated drawers.

This secretaire has several features indicating the work of London cabinet makers John Mayhew and William Ince. 1758 - 1804
